The North Tyneside 10k Road Race takes place on Easter Sunday (27 March) and is one of the most scenic running events in the UK with a route that includes a working Fish Quay, the River Tyne, Tynemouth Priory and Castle, stunning coastline and St. Mary's Lighthouse.
Last year's race was won by Tadele Geremew in 30m 51s. Justina Heslop was the first female athlete over the line in 34m 43s.
The event is organised by North Tyneside Council and supported by Northumbria Spring Water, Tyne Met College and Start Fitness.

North Tyneside Highlights
A festive market with a range of stalls selling gifts and produce. There will also be some carol singing from local schools and groups.
The event will feature the Salvation Army band and choirs from Kings Priory School. Everyone is welcome.
