Visit Tynemouth Priory and learn about its 2000 year history with fantastic views overlooking the North Sea. Visitors, including members, must pre-book a time in advance.

Watch the latest film releases at Odeon Silverlink or Jam Jar Cinema in Whitley Bay. Limited seating is available and tickets must be pre-booked online.

Browse craft and gift stalls and grab some tasty street food at Tynemouth Market. Numbers are limited and a one-way system is in place. Saturdays and Sundays, from 9am.

Climb the 137 steps to the top of St Mary’s Lighthouse with fantastic views of the north east coast. Look out for the seals and wildlife around St Mary’s nature reserve. check for the latest on re-opening and visiting hours.

Check out the newly refurbished Tynemouth Aquarium; see the seals, meet the monkeys and find out about a vast selection of fish, before grabbing a bite to eat in the new restaurant with views out to the sea.  

Tynemouth Park offers fun for all including a dinosaur-themed, adventure mini golf course, a pirate quest maze, park and café. The Jungle Wipeout inflatable area will remain closed until further notice. Pre-booking required, call 0191 258 7593.

For shoppers, Royal Quays Outlet Centre and Silverlink Retail Park are open, as well as many independent shops across our town centres.

Check out the many eateries, cafes and bars, from award winning fish and chips and ice creams to delicious cakes. Many are offering a takeaway service so why not enjoy a picnic at one of our blue flag beaches or parks. Get the kite out, grab the bucket and spade, go for a bike ride – there’s plenty to do. Just dress for the weather!
