Spook-seekers in North Tyneside are in for a treat through to Halloween with a new trail to try.
The Borough’s Big Halloween Pumpkin Trail features 30 giant pumpkin caricatures on pavements, walls, windows and bins in and around our town centres and adventurers will be able to track all of them using a free app.
Characters can be found in Tynemouth, Wallsend, Whitley Bay, North Shields, Cullercoats, Killingworth, Forest Hall and more.
Each pumpkin is individually named, all with their own character and fun story – like Hermione, who likes to ‘potter’ around the pumpkin patch!
The app is now available for iPhone and Android from the respective app stores and the trail will be in place from Saturday 9 October, running through to the end of the month.
Anyone wanting to download the app, developed by North East software house Nebula Labs, should search for ‘North Tyneside Pumpkin Trail’.
North Tyneside’s Big Halloween Pumpkin Trail is organised by North Tyneside Council and supported by the Welcome Back Fund, ERDF action to support town centre recovery and the safe return to our high streets following the pandemic.
